The LA '21 cohort, a dynamic and dedicated group of 50 independent school educators, completed their first summer on campus at the end of July.  This summer's coursework included Ethics and Education with Dr. Megan Laverty, Negotiation with Michelle Greenberg-Kobrin, Private School Leadership with Dr. Nicole Furlonge, Program Leadership with Dr. Kevin Mattingly, and Research Methods with Dr. Rebecca Stilwell and Dr. Kenny Graves.  In addition to these courses, they hosted Stephen Valentine, co-author of Make Yourself Clear and editor of Klingbrief; Bodie Brizendine, head of The Spence School, and Mark Anderson, head of Sanford School, who spoke about change leadership; and started a collaborative project with NAIS to examine governance best practices.
