Kelly Garnes-Pages is the CFO at Gill St. Bernard's School in Gladstone, NJ. Kelly began as an English and history teacher after receiving her BA in History from the University of Virginia and her EdM in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from Harvard University. She transitioned to KIPP NJ as the founding history department chair, supervising and coaching the school’s humanities teachers. Kelly was promoted to lead the placement and ongoing support of 1,200 high school and college aged alumni across the country. Kelly then enrolled at Columbia Business School as a Margaret Greenawalt Scholar to pursue her MBA with a focus in finance and general management. While at Columbia, she was elected as Co-President of Columbia Women in Business (CWiB), the largest organization on campus serving close to 500 members. Kelly joined Citibank where she helped to provide analytics and financial modeling to expand various business lines including consumer credit, commercial banking, and mortgages. Kelly went on to serve in various c-level positions at educational organizations including Ascend Public Charter Schools, which serves close to 5,500 students and 800 employees. In this role she welcomed and trained close to 350 teachers and operations professionals to the organization. Her work has included driving strong operations, finance, development, real estate acquisition/development, technology, human resources, and leadership development. Kelly grew up in Brooklyn, New York and is the proud daughter of immigrants. Kelly is active in her community as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the President of the Essex-Hudson chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She lives with her husband and their three children.
