Alice Laskin (she/her) is the World Languages Department Chair and a French teacher for middle and upper school students at Seattle Academy in Seattle, Washington. Alice delights in exploring the francophone world, its cultures, and languages with her students. She holds an undergraduate degree from Scripps College and an M.A. in French Literature from Middlebury College. She earned her M.Ed. in Private School Leadership from the Klingenstein Center at Teachers College, Columbia University. She’s a language nerd whose teaching and leadership stances are characterized by collaborative dialogue, unconditional care, and hopeful curiosity. Alice is excited to join the Klingenstein Summer Institute as a future World Languages lead teacher. Alice shares a young son and middle-aged labrador with her spouse; she likes to spend her free time in her garden or at the local pool.
