Rich Lehrer is excited to be joining the Klingenstein Summer Institute as the experiential education co-lead teacher. Originally from Regina, Canada, Rich has over three decades of experiential education experience in Canada, Venezuela, Brazil, Chile, and he is currently the director of academic innovation and design at The Alexander Dawson School in Las Vegas, NV. Throughout his career, Rich has been passionate about providing students with authentic, meaningful, and innovative experiences and he delights in helping other teachers do the same. In addition to his teaching and leadership experiences, Rich was the co-creator and co-facilitator of the Principals Training Center's "Problem, Project, and Design Based Teaching" course for international educators, was a senior administrator for Exploration Senior Summer Programs, and served as a national faculty member for PBL Works from 2015-2020. Rich is a father of two Middle School students, loves music in all its forms, and is passionate about all things related to project based learning, maker education, and design thinking.
